PEC and Ibtedayi exams canceled

Dhaka, October 18: The Prime Minister has approved the cancellation of the Class V Completion (PEC) and Madrasa Education Completion (Ibtedayi) examinations this year. It was sent to the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education with approval on Sunday (October 17) afternoon. As a result, PEC-Ibtedai examination is not being conducted this year. It is learned that the matter may be officially announced by the concerned ministry this week.

Proposal to cancel PEC exam sent to Prime Minister Hasina

Dhaka, October 8: A proposal has been sent to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to scrap the Primary Education Completion (PEC) examination. If approved, an announcement in this regard will be made from the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education by next week.

No PEC and JSC exams from 2023 under new curriculum: Education Minister

Dhaka, September 14: From 2023, the new curriculum will not include Class V Primary Education Certificate (PEC) and Class VIII Junior School Certificate (JSC) examinations. Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni said this at a press conference at the ministry at noon on Monday (September 13).
