Ashura: Govt. bans Tazia marches, processions and rallies on August 20

Dhaka, August 18: Considering the situation of coronavirus (Covid-19) infection, the government has banned all kinds of processions and marches on the occasion of Ashura. However, all the necessary religious rituals can be observed in accordance with proper hygiene and social distance. This information has been given in the press release of the Ministry of Religious Affairs on Tuesday (August 17). Holy Ashura will be celebrated in the country next Friday (August 20).
