State Minister for Shipping instructs not to give 'priority serial' to any VIP at ferry terminal
Own Correspondent, Dhaka, April 30: State Minister for Shipping Khalid Mahmud Chowdhury said, while visiting Shimulia Ghat in Louhjong upazila of Munshiganj at noon on Friday (April 29), that "No VIP will be given priority serial at the ferry ghats. One of our former ministers also came to this ghat and waited for two hours to cross the Padma river."

Dhaka, August 6: The pressure of people to return to work in the capital ignoring the ongoing lockdown continues at Shimulia-Banglabazar Ghat. Thousands of vehicles carrying these people are waiting to cross the Shimulia-Banglabazar ghat. More than 600 private vehicles and freight trucks, have been waiting to cross Shimulia Ghat since Friday (August 6) morning.
