24 percent of country's buses lack fitness: TIB
Own Correspondent, Dhaka, 6 March 2024: Transparency International Bangladesh (TIB) said that registration and three types of certificates are mandatory for every bus plying on the road commercially, but according to 40.9 percent of bus workers, one or more buses of the respective companies lack some kind of certificate with registration. There is a shortage. 18.9 percent buses lack registration, 24 percent buses lack fitness, 18.5 percent lack tax tokens and 22 percent lack route permits.
