Own Correspondent, Dhaka, April 5: According to the 2015 census figure, there were 106 tigers in the Sunderbans, but the latest 2018 census had pegged the number of tigers in the Sunderbans was 114.

Satellite transmitters to be attached to Royal Bengal Tigers in Sundarbans

Own Correspondent, Dhaka, March 29: For the first time, satellite collars or transmitters will be attached to the Royal Bengal Tigers in the Sundarbans. Mobile SIM card-like small devices will be fitted on the tiger's body.

Deceased Royal Bengal tiger found in Sundarbans, buried after autopsy

Dhaka, January 29: A dead Royal Bengal Tiger was rescued from Rupar Gang in Alorkol area of Dublar Char in Sharankhola Range of East Sundarbans in Bagerhat. After the autopsy, the tiger was buried.
