Freight train carries stones over Padma Bridge
Own Correspondent, Dhaka, 16 September 2023: A seven-carriage trial special train loaded with stones has crossed Padma Bridge from Bhanga in Faridpur to Mawa end of Munshiganj. The train left Bhanga for Mawa at 7.30 am on Saturday 16th September. From there, at around 9:30, the intention to break again came out. This is the first speed trial of a freight train crossing the Padma Bridge.

Dhaka, April 4: Experimental special train service has started through Padma Bridge. Through this, another dream of the people of both sides was fulfilled. A new dimension has been added to the communication system of the people of the southern region through the experimental running of this special train from Faridpur's Bhanga railway station to Mawa station via Padma bridge. The authorities hope to open the rail line to all in September this year.
