Candidate eligibility during teacher recruitment at public universities to be determined

Dhaka, February 11: Eligibility of candidates for recruitment of teachers in public universities is being determined. The university authorities will have to appoint teachers through merit verification among those qualified candidates. At the same time, it has been decided to extend the leave period of teachers. A directive in this regard will be issued this month to implement it, University Grants Commission (UGC) sources said. 

No scarcity of seats in higher education: UGC

Dhaka, February 1: The Bangladesh University Grants Commission (UGC) has said that there will be no crisis in the country's higher education seats. According to the UGC, there are about 13,20,000 seats in undergraduate honors, graduate passes and equivalent courses in various institutions engaged in higher education.
