Dhaka, December 26: Paddy storage capacity of rice mill owners has been reduced. The government took this step amid rising prices of paddy and rice. On December 21, the Ministry of Food issued an amended order in this regard.

নিজস্ব প্রতিনিধি, ঢাকা, ২৭ আগস্ট ২০২০ : নীতিনির্ধারণী সিদ্ধান্ত গ্রহণের ক্ষেত্রে চালকল মালিক (মিলার) ও ব্যবসায়ীদের কাছে কী পরিমাণ খাদ্যশস্য মজুত রয়েছে তা জানতে চেয়েছেন প্রধানমন্ত্রী শেখ হাসিনা। গত ১৯ আগস্ট খাদ্য মন্ত্রণালয় থেকে খাদ্য অধিদফতরের মহাপরিচালকের কাছে পাঠানো চিঠি থেকে এই তথ্য জানা গেছে। ওই চিঠিতে প্রধানমন্ত্রীর নির্দেশনা অনুযায়ী মহাপরিচালককে তথ্য পাঠাতে বলা হয়। পরে খাদ্য অধিদফতর থেকে মাঠ পর্যায়ের কর্মকর্তাদের কাছে খাদ্যশস্য মজুকের তথ্য পাঠাতে বলা হয়। ...
