Dhaka, May 31: The Sylhet City Corporation has directed to close 25 risky buildings and markets in Sylhet city for the next 10 days due to frequent earthquakes. Mayor Ariful Haque Chowdhury himself inspected 6 markets and closed them.
5.6 Magnitude earthquake strikes parts of north
Dhaka, April 6: A mild earthquake shook the northern part of the country. The quake lasted for about eight seconds at 9:38 pm on Monday (April 5). Its magnitude was 5.6 on the Richter scale. No damage was reported immediately after the quake.
