Own Correspondent, Dhaka, July 11: Eminent Archaeological Professor Dr. Enamul Haque, recipient of the Independence Award, Ekushey Padak and Padma Shri of India, is no more (Inna Lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'un). He was 85. He died at his home in the capital on Sunday (July 10) afternoon.

Four Bangladeshis receive India's Padma Awards

Dhaka, November 9: The late Syed Moazzem Ali, the former High Commissioner of Bangladesh to India, received the Padma Bhushan, India's third highest civilian honor. Dr. Enamul Haque, a renowned archaeologist, writer and pioneer of the museum movement in Bangladesh, received the fourth highest honor, the Padma Shri.
