Protest by calling the ambassador of Myanmar
Own Correspondent, Dhaka, 6 February 2024: Bangladesh has summoned the country's ambassador U Aung Kyaw Moe to Dhaka in protest over the death of two people in a mortar shell fired from across the Myanmar border. The Ambassador of Myanmar arrived at the State Guest House Padma at 11 am on Tuesday. He went out around 11:35. Officials of the concerned wing of the Ministry of External Affairs spoke to the ambassador.
Another 114 border guards of Myanmar entered Bangladesh
Own Correspondent, Dhaka, 6 February 2024: Due to the ongoing conflict inside Myanmar, 229 members of the Border Guard Police (BGP) have so far fled to Bangladesh with weapons. 115 people came earlier. Another 114 people have taken refuge in Bangladesh.
