Kuwait Emir Kuwait Emir Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah passes away at 86
Kuwait City, Dec 16: The Emir of Kuwait Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah died at 86.
Al Jazeera reported this quoting the state television of Kuwait.
In a statement on state television today (Saturday, 16 December), Kuwait's Emiri Court Minister Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah Al Sabah said, "We are deeply saddened. We the people of Kuwait, Arab and Islamic countries and well-wishers of the world mourn the death of Emir Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah. He has gone to God today.”
However, Kuwait did not say anything officially about the cause of Emir's death. Emir Sheikh Nawaf was admitted to the hospital on an emergency basis when he fell seriously ill last month. Earlier in March 2021, he went to the United States for treatment. However, the cause of his illness was not disclosed at that time.
Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah was sworn in as the Emir of Kuwait in September 2020.
