Entertainment Reporter, Dhaka, 7 August 2023: Actress Apu Biswas lodged a general diary with the capital's Bhatara police station after filing a written complaint with the Dhaka Metropolitan Detective Police on charges of piracy and creating objectionable content. She made the general diary at Bhatara police station on Sunday evening.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Bhatara police station ADM Asaduzzaman confirmed the GD filed by Apu Biswas.

He said that GD No. 556 filed by Apu Biswas. She made general diaries detailing piracy and offensive comments. Earlier, he went to the DB office on Sunday afternoon and lodged a written complaint about the same.

She told the reporters in front of the office of the DB head at 3:30 pm on Sunday, "We are suffering in the competition to increase the viewers. The Lal Saree film is the product of hard work for me. I have complained to the DB office about the piracy of Lal Saree and the creation of objectionable content on Facebook."

Apu said, "I came to DB to talk about the piracy of the film. Besides, you know that cyberbullying has increased a lot on social media. Cyberbullying is being done with the hope of increasing viewers for no reason. Cyberbullying disrupts the normal life of people, it is not desired by anyone. Because at the end of the day we all live in families."

Apu Biswas said, "I am the producer of Lal Saree movie. It is done using grant money."

A few days ago the movie Surongo was a victim of piracy. The film's team approached DB. The detectives then brought those involved in the incident under the law.

She said, "Cyber bullying disrupts people's normal life and it is not desirable for anyone. Because at the end of the day we all live in a family. We also have a family position. Maybe I am an actress, but at different times I have to read a lot of news. I want to say one more thing, there is a country in the country. Represent. Our image is damaged when this happens."

Later, DB chief Haroon Or Rashid told reporters that Apu Biswas came to the DB office with a complaint of spreading negative, false and misleading information through social media.
