AR Rahman wows crowd in 'Cricket Celebrates Mujib 100' concert

Own Correspondent, Dhaka, March 30: The 'Cricket Celebrates Mujib 100' concert at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur on the occasion of Bangabandhu's birth centenary ended at 12:56 am on Tuesday.

Earlier, the concert had started at 5:20 pm with the performance of Rumana Malik Munmun.

Renowned composer of the subcontinent and Oscar winning musician AR Rahman took the stage to perform in the concert at 9:30 pm. Earlier, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina attended the concert at 8:30 pm. The national anthem was performed immediately after the arrival of the Prime Minister. She took her seat in the BCB President's Box.

The band 'Miles' performed performed in the concert in the afternoon. Then Mamtaz Begum came. The concert stopped at 6:30 pm due to rain. After the rain stopped, Mumtaz got on the stage of the concert again. The spectators in the ground suffered a lot due to the rain.

The downpour had left several parts of the ground waterlogged.
