Entertainment Reporter, Dhaka, March 2, 2024: Nationwide mourning has come over the death toll in the capital's Bailey Road fire. The devastating fire happened on Thursday (February 29) night. So far, the death toll in this accident has been reported to be 46. Almost the entire seven-storey building was burnt. The loss of human life has cast a shadow of sadness on everyone.

Actor Chanchal Chowdhury is shocked by such tragic casualty of Bailey Road. The actor cannot accept such an accident in his beloved city. Chanchal posted two pictures side by side of the before and now pictures of the building burnt down in the fire on his social media and wrote, 'Alas Bailey Road'. Chanchal is shocked by this incident. His fans are also expressing grief and sorrow in this post.

A fire broke out in a restaurant on the first floor of the building on Bailey Road around 9.50pm on Thursday and quickly spread to the upper floors. There were several restaurants and a clothes shop. 13 units of fire service were deployed to control the situation. The injured were admitted to Dhaka Medical College and Sheikh Hasina National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has expressed deep grief over such a terrible fire incident.
