UAE wants to increase trade in technology products with Bangladesh

Own Correspondent, Dhaka, February 18: The United Arab Emirates (UAE) wants to increase trade in technology products with Bangladesh.

Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sarki, ruler of the UAE's Fujairah province, expressed the interest in a meeting with visiting Bangladesh Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal.

This information was given in a press release of the Ministry of Home Affairs. The meeting was held at Sheikh Hamad's office in Fujairah province on Thursday at 12 pm. local time.

According to the statement, Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sarki, the ruler of Fujairah, praised the rapid development and progress of Bangladesh under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. He expressed interest in increasing the business of technology products by increasing business and investment in Bangladesh.

Informing that the two sides also discussed ways to work together to enhance and develop political relations between Bangladesh and the UAE, the statement said, "Sheikh Hamad agreed when Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan invited him to visit Bangladesh and he said that he will visit Bangladesh at a convenient time for both countries."

Later, Crown Prince Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sarki of Fujairah paid a courtesy call on the Home Minister.

The meeting was attended by Director General of Bangladesh Immigration and Passport Department Major General Ayub Chowdhury, Additional Secretary of Security Services Department Abdullah Al Masud Chowdhury, Ambassador of Bangladesh to the United Arab Emirates Mohammad Abu Zafar and others.
