Cabinet approves budget

Dhaka, June 9: The special meeting of the cabinet has approved to present the proposed budget for the fiscal year 2021-22 in the parliament. The special cabinet meeting was held at noon on Thursday (June 9) at the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban. The meeting was chaired by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. Earlier, the meeting started at Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban after 12 noon. The members of the cabinet including the finance minister took part in it.

Budget: TIB thanks government for not announcing money whitening scheme

Dhaka, June 4: Transparency International Bangladesh (TIB) has lauded the proposed budget for the 2021-2022 fiscal year for not re-announcing the opportunity to whiten black money in the name of undisclosed funds. Cabinet approves budget for FY 2021-2022

Dhaka, June 3: The cabinet has approved the proposed budget of Tk 6,03,681 crore for the fiscal year 2021-22. The approval was given at a special cabinet meeting on Thursday. Finance Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal presented the budget in the parliament at 3 pm. Earlier, the meeting started at 12 noon in the cabinet room on the second floor of the west block of the parliament building.

Budget session begins today

Dhaka, June 2: The budget session of the National Assembly will start by strictly following the hygiene rules on Wednesday (June 2) afternoon. The session will be short due to the coronavirus pandemic situation. The session can last for 12 working days with multiple breaks. Bangladesh's GDP growth best in the world in the last 10 years, says FM Kamal

Dhaka, March 3: "Bangladesh has topped the world in terms of GDP growth in the last 10 years. At present, Bangladesh has reached China, Qatar, India and Malaysia," said Finance Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal while inaugurating Bangabandhu Corner and Bangabandhu Mural at Sonali Bank on Tuesday. He was virtually involved in the event.
