Dhaka, March 3: "Bangladesh has topped the world in terms of GDP growth in the last 10 years. At present, Bangladesh has reached China, Qatar, India and Malaysia," said Finance Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal while inaugurating Bangabandhu Corner and Bangabandhu Mural at Sonali Bank on Tuesday. He was virtually involved in the event.

Finance Minister Mustafa Kamal said, "Father of the Nation dreamed of the concept of Golden Bengal. His dream was economic development and social security of this country. At the same time to bring Bengal and Bengalis to the court of the world.

He said, "Father of the Nation has spent his whole life for the welfare of this country and people. His contribution cannot be avoided by inaugurating just a mural and a corner in the name of Father of the Nation. March is very important. Bengalis have many achievements this month. Bangladesh has entered the golden jubilee of independence and is in line to become a developing country, this month."

Sonali Bank CEO and Managing Director Md. Ataur Rahman Pradhan presided over the function. Md. Asadul Islam, Senior Secretary, Department of Banks and Financial Institutions, Ziaul Hasan Siddiqui, Chairman, Board of Directors of Sonali Bank Ltd. were present.
