Dhaka, Nov 28: Bangladesh Bureau of Statistics (BBS) has reported that the total population of Bangladesh is 16 crore 98 lakh 28 thousand 911.

99.32% households getting electricity

Another 46 lakh 70 thousand 295 people were added to the PEC (Post Enumeration Check) and the adjusted total population of the country is 16 crore 98 lakh 28 thousand 911. 68.34 percent of the total population lives in rural areas and 31.66 percent in urban areas.

Dhaka, June 28: Women in Bangladesh will outlive the men by an average of 3.3 years according to a recent life expectancy report. The average life expectancy of the people in the country has increased to 72.8 years in 2020 from 72.6 years in 2019. While the average for men stood at 71.2 years, the average for women increased to 74.5 years in 2020.
