Three ministers cut paddy together in Haor
Dhaka, April 19: The three ministers attended the Boro paddy cutting festival in Sunamganj. At this time they cut paddy together. They joined the festival on Wednesday afternoon. The three ministers are - Agriculture Minister Abdur Razzak, Planning Minister MA Mannan and Deputy Minister Enamul Haque Shamim.
Government to rehabilitate farmers till next boro season
Dhaka, April 17: The government will rehabilitate the cropless farmers with fertilizers and seeds till the next borough. VGF assistance will be provided for the farmers so that they do not suffer from hunger. Agriculture Minister Dr Mohammad Abdur Razzak said this after inspecting the damaged dam at Chapati Haor in Dirai upazila of Sunamganj on Saturday.
Boro paddy destroyed in untimely floods
Dhaka, April 11: The water level of Jamuna, Karatoya, Baral and Hurasagar rivers has risen due to the hill slope coming down from the upper reaches, causing flash floods in different parts of Sirajganj. As a result, a large amount of boro paddy land in the riverine areas of different upazilas has been submerged.
