Eid-ul-Azha: 1 Crore 41 thousand animal sacrifices across country

Dhaka, July 1: This year, a total of 1 crore 41 thousand 812 cattle were sacrificed in the holy Eid-ul-Azha. Ten percent of this can be skin damage. Besides, the target of collection of 85 to 90 lakh pieces of good quality leather has been set this time, excluding goat skin.

Eid-ul-Azha: 94.5 lakh animals sold for Tk 60,000 crore

Dhaka, June 30: A total of more than 94 lakh 43 thousand animals have been sold for sacrifice on the occasion of the holy Eid-ul-Azha. Out of this, 43 lakh 61 thousand cows and buffaloes and 50 lakh 81 thousand goats, sheep and other animals were sold. According to the data of the Department of Livestock, the total sale of sacrificial animals this year is more than Tk 60,000 crore.

Sacrificial animal to be brought to Dhaka on 'Mango Train'

Dhaka, June 24: Railways have arranged to bring sacrificial animals to Dhaka from Chapainawabganj at low cost around Eid-ul-Azha. However, they said that the 'Cattle Special Train' will not be run separately this time. The sacrificial animal will be transported in a separate wagon of the 'Mango Special' train.
