City Corporation to be informed about construction of buildings: Md Tajul Islam

Dhaka, March 3: No permission of City Corporation is required for construction of buildings in City Corporation area. Local government minister Md Tajul Islam said the city corporation only needs to be informed about the construction of the building. He was speaking to reporters after an inter-ministerial meeting at the Secretariat on Thursday (March 3rd).

Structuring of Padma Setu complete

Dhaka, May 3: The work of the entire structure of Padma Bridge has been completed. So far, the progress of the construction of the main bridge is 93.25 percent, Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader made the remarks at a meeting with BRTC and BRTA officials of Sylhet Zone, on Sunday (May 2). The Minister virtually joined the meeting from his official residence.

Duration of the Padma Bridge project extended by two years

Dhaka, March 22: The Implementation Monitoring and Evaluation Department (IMED) of the Ministry of Planning is going to approve the 'Padma Multipurpose Bridge Construction (Second Amendment)' project by extending the period by two years till June 2023 as per the demand of the Bridges Department, according to relevant sources. 

Padma Bridge project to get two-year extension

Dhaka, February 9: The bridge department has applied to extend the duration of the Padma Multipurpose Bridge construction project by two years. Last Thursday (February 4), they applied for an extension in the Implementation Monitoring and Evaluation Division (IMED).
