Dhaka, April 30: The government has allowed international flights to seven countries, including the Middle East, with special consideration for migrant workers detained in different countries. However, apart from expatriate workers, passengers from other countries, including the United States are coming on special flights.
Shahjalal Airport cancels seven special flights
Dhaka, April 17: The special flight at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport was scheduled to start on Saturday (April 17) but has not yet taken place. A total of seven flights have already been canceled, including five by Bangladesh Biman and two by Fly Dubai. Group Captain SM Touhidul Ahsan, Director, Shahjalal International Airport, confirmed the information.
Special flights for expats in five countries from April 17
Dhaka, April 16: A special flight is being launched from April 17 for expatriate workers trapped due to lockdown. Hundreds of flights per week will be used to transport expatriate workers to five countries - Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Oman, Qatar and Singapore. This information was given by the Chairman of the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) Air Vice Marshal Md. Mofidur Rahman after a meeting on the launch of special flights on Thursday (April 15) night.
