Gold Price Gold prices hit record high of Tk 1,12,908 per bhori
Dhaka, March 7: Breaking all the previous records, a new record has been created in the price of gold in the country's market. The price of the best quality or 22 carat gold (11.664 grams) has been increased by Tk 2,217. The price of one bhori of good quality gold is Tk 1 lakh 12 thousand 908.
Bangladesh Jewellers Association (BAJUS) said that this price will be effective from today Thursday (March 7).
Before this, on January 18, the price of one bhori of good quality gold was fixed at Tk 1 lakh 12 thousand 441. So far this was the highest price of gold in the market of the country. On January 19, the day after that record price was set, the price of gold was reduced slightly. After about a month and a half, now the record price has been increased again.
BAJUS Standing Committee on Pricing and Price Monitoring Committee met on Wednesday and decided to increase the price. This information was shared in a circular signed by the chairman of the committee, Masudur Rahman.
According to the notification, the price of acidic gold has increased in the local market. Therefore, considering the overall situation, Bangladesh Jewellery Association has fixed the new price of gold, which will be effective from March 7. According to the new price, the price of the best quality or 22 carat gold has been increased by Tk 2,217 to Tk 1 lakh 12 thousand 908 per bhori. The price of 21 carat gold has been increased by Tk 2,099 to Tk 1 lakh 7 thousand 775 per bhori.
