Rooftop Garden Holding tax is 10 percent off if you have a roof garden
Dhaka, June 14: Local government minister Md Tajul Islam said that 10 percent discount on holding tax will be given if a garden is planted on the roof of the building. He also said that the government has taken this decision to reduce the temperature. He told reporters in a meeting in the conference room of the local government department at the secretariat on Wednesday.
The Minister said that this decision will be effective in the case of all city corporations and municipal buildings in the country.
He said, if you have a roof garden, you have to take proper care of it. So that mosquitoes do not breed there. In that case, 10 percent holding tax exemption will be given. A circular in this regard will be issued soon.
The minister said that where the incentives are given, it will be stated that those who do roof gardens will be given a 10 percent discount on the condition that their gardens do not breed mosquitoes. There are a few architectural considerations for roof gardening that need to be kept in mind. The mayors of the area will fix everything. A circular in this regard will be issued today, from which it will be effective.
