Bangladesh-Spain PM invites Spanish entrepreneurs to invest in Bangladesh
Dhaka, Dec 13: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said that Spanish investment in any sector of Bangladesh will be welcomed for mutual benefit.
Sheikh Hasina said this when Spanish Ambassador to Bangladesh Francisco de Asis Benitez Salas paid a farewell visit to the Prime Minister on Wednesday (December 13).
Prime Minister's Press Secretary Ihsanul Karim quoted Sheikh Hasina as saying during a meeting with the Spanish ambassador at Ganabhaban, "They (Spanish entrepreneurs) are welcome. They can invest in any sector of their choice in Bangladesh."
In a press briefing after the meeting, Karim said Salas has expressed his country's interest in investing in Bangladesh, including its agro-based industries.
The Spanish ambassador said, "Many entrepreneurs are interested in visiting Bangladesh and investing here."
"The quality of Spain's hospitals and agricultural machinery is very good," he added.
In the meeting, the Prime Minister of Bangladesh and the Ambassador of Spain expressed their satisfaction with the existing relations between the two countries and hoped that these relations will be further strengthened.
