Dhaka, Jan 18: Agriculture Minister Md. Abdus Shahid has warned that middlemen will be destroyed to control the price of agricultural products in the country.

The government will not increase the price of fertilizers and seeds

Dhaka, February 4: The government will not increase the prices of agricultural inputs including fertilizers and seeds to continue agricultural production. Agriculture Minister Dr Md Abdur Razzak said this in the opening ceremony of the International Conference on Food and Nutrition Security to achieve Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in SAARC member countries at BRAC CDM Auditorium in Savar near Dhaka on Thursday.

The fertilizer that was Tk 90 during BNP regime is now Tk 12: PM Hasina

Dhaka, April 20: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has said that since the Awami League came to power, the farmers have no more problems because they have taken appropriate action against them. "The price of fertilizer was Tk 90 rupees during the BNP government, today we have brought it down to Tk 12," the Prime Minister said this in a virtual speech on the founding anniversary of Krishak League on Monday (April 19).

Everything necessary for agriculture and farmers will be provided: Prime Minister Hasina

Dhaka, February 4: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said, "Our country is dependent on agriculture. Our economy is dependent on agriculture. We are giving importance to this agriculture. We have given machinery to the farmers for mechanization of agriculture. 70,000 equipments have been given to the farmers. I also paid a huge amount of money. When I have given what is needed, whatever is needed for agriculture and farmers will be given."
