Trains to travel at speed of 120 km on Bangabandhu Railway Bridge

Dhaka, October 30: Feasibility study and design work has been completed. The construction work of Bangabandhu Railway Bridge is progressing fast. Work on the main part of the bridge is now underway. There will be two lines on this bridge of steel infrastructure. So no train has to wait for crossing. The train will also be able to run at a maximum speed of 120 km. The bridge will also help connect Bangladesh with the Trans-Asian Railway Network in the future. When completed, it will be the longest railway bridge in the country.

Materials of Bangabandhu Railway Bridge at Mongla Port

Dhaka, June 15: The Panamanian flagship MV Franco Lohas has arrived at the port of Mongla carrying cargo from the country's largest railway bridge. At 4 pm on Monday, a foreign ship carrying goods from the railway bridge built by the side of Bangabandhu Bridge anchored.

Dhaka, November 28: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will lay the foundation stone of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Railway Bridge on Sunday (November 29) at 10:30 am via video conference from Ganobhaban.
