9-yr-old raped in Delhi, battles for life
New Delhi, Feb 5: A nine-year-old girl is in a critical condition in a New Delhi hospital after a youth lured her with chocolate and raped her after taking her to a secluded place on Sunday evening, said reports.
The girl\'s parents said she is in the intensive care unit of the hospital now.
Reports said the girl was playing with her friends in a park when the 25-year-old lured her. While other friends of the girl managed to escape the rapist, she was gagged and then assaulted by the youth.
The rapist has been identified as Gopi Nisha Mallah and was arrested by police.
"We want stringent punishment of the rapist," said the girl\'s parents.
