Pak opens war rooms for terror strike on India : Army
New Delhi, Jan 15: Pakistan has opened special war rooms close to the border to support terror attacks on 'soft targets' in India ahead of US President Barack Obama's visit, a top army official on Thursday said.
General Officer Commanding (GOC), 16 Corps, Lt Gen K H Singh said 200 heavily-armed militants were waiting in 36 launching pads across the Line of Control (LoC) on the other side of Pir Panjal range.
"There are general inputs that terrorists might try to attack soft targets, including schools, religions places, army convoys and other civilian areas. They are waiting for opportunities and may try to carry out attacks on soft targets,"he told reporters.
"Inputs are that Pakistan has opened up special war rooms for this purpose with the help of agencies like the ISI. There are 14 to 15 terrorists training camp active on the other side of the line of control within our area of responsibility.
"The terrorist infrastructure across the border is intact and there is every possibility that Pakistan might try to divert some of its home grown terrorists towards this side of the border," he said.

Lt Gen KH Singh assured that the country\'s counter-infiltration posture was firmly in place and if any infiltration bid was made, it would be eliminated.
