Pak PM meets Imran Khan

Islamabad, Mar 12 : Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Wednesday met Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan here.

 According to reports, Khan and Sharif discussed the ongoing peace initiative with the Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP).

The meeting was attended by Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan and coordinator government committee for peace talks Irfan Siddiqui.

"Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif informed the PTI chairman that the government had given first preference to the dialogue process. He added the first phase of the dialogue process was successful due to the government’s efforts," Geo News reported.

Khan reportedly assured Sharif his  unconditional support in the dialogue process. 

"Imran Khan said that dialogue should remain the first and an operation the last operation. He assured the prime minister of unconditional support in the dialogue process," it said.

Khan later tweeted: "Asked PM 2 add issue of polio health workers safety as part of dialogue & get Taliban 2 commit 2 it & 2 ensure continuation of polio prog."
