Islamabad, Oct 25 : Despite the ongoing tensions, Pakistan's Federal Minister for Commerce Khurram Dastagir Khan has said the country will continue its trade with its neighbours including India.

He said the  Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) government  is committed to increase regional trade.

“The vision of our government is that we must trade with our neighbours,” Khan was quoted as saying by the Dawn News.

"Speaking at a consultative meeting “Trade with Neighbours: Prospects and Challenges”, organised by the Sustainable Development Policy Institute (SDPI), the minister said that the country’s current tension with India is casting a shadow on economic ties," Dawn News reported.

He said Pakistan will need to trade in energy for import of electricity from India in an attempt to overcome energy crisis.
