Dhaka, January 10: In particular, not the Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC), but rather an ordinance empowering the government to fix, re-fix and adjust fuel oil, electricity, and gas prices at the consumer level is being passed into law. Govt. approves creation of three new upazilas

Dhaka, July 27: The government has approved the creaton of three new upazilas, taking the total number to 495. The three new upazilas are Dashar in Madaripur, Eidgaon in Cox’s Bazar and Modhyanagar in Sunamganj. The decision was taken during a virtual meeting of the National Implementation Committee on Administrative Restructuring (NICAR) chaired by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

PM Hasina urges officials not to take risks during ongoing Covid19 pandemic

Dhaka, June 15: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has instructed officials not to take any risk during the ongoing coronavirus infection. She said that if necessary, the area at risk of infection should be blocked. The Prime Minister gave such instructions at a cabinet meeting held at the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban on Monday (June 14). Cabinet Secretary Khandaker Anwarul Islam told reporters at the Secretariat at noon.

নিজস্ব প্রতিনিধি, ঢাকা, মার্চ ২৩ : মন্ত্রিসভার কেবিনেট) নিয়মিত বৈঠক আজ সোমবার হচ্ছে না। এ কথা জানিয়ে মন্ত্রিপরিষদ সচিব খন্দকার আনোয়ারুল ইসলাম বলেন, ‘মুজিববর্ষের বিশেষ অধিবেশনের কারণে এই বৈঠক না করার সিদ্ধান্ত ছিল। বৈঠক না হওয়ার বিষয়টি ইতিমধ্যে সংশ্লিষ্টদের জানিয়েও দেয়া হয়েছে।’
