Indian High Commissioner Vikram Doraiswami to arrive in Dhaka today

Dhaka, 5 October: Newly appointed Indian High Commissioner Vikram Doraiswamy is arriving in Dhaka on Monday (October 5), according to diplomatic sources in Delhi.

According to sources, newly appointed Indian High Commissioner to Dhaka Vikram Doraiswamy will arrive in Dhaka through the Tripura border on Monday morning. He will then present his credentials to the President on October 8.

Doraiswamy had been serving as the Additional Secretary in the Ministry of External Affairs of India. He is a 1992 batch officer of the Indian Foreign Cadre.

Meanwhile, outgoing High Commissioner Riva Ganguly Das will join as the Secretary of the Eastern Division of the Indian Ministry of External Affairs.

Ganguly Das left Dhaka on October 2 through the Benapole border. She came to Dhaka on March 1 last year.

Before Ganguly Das, Harsh Vardhan Sringla was the High Commissioner of India in Dhaka.
