Own Correspondent, Dhaka, 22 March 2024: Notification to extend BNP leader Khaleda Zia's release will be issued after Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's approval. This was stated by Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal in response to questions from journalists at the check distribution ceremony for drug addiction treatment centers at the Secretariat on Thursday (March 21).

He asked the BNP leadership to keep it in mind, while responding to reporters' questions at the unveiling ceremony of the Bangladesh Secretariat Reporters Forum's (BSRF) 'BSRF Message' at the Information Ministry's conference room at the Secretariat on Monday (September 20).
Khaleda's parole issue under process
Dhaka, September 16: Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal has said that the issue of extending the parole of BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia by suspending her sentence is under process. The minister made the remarks while talking to reporters at the Secretariat on Thursday (September 18). Meanwhile, the law ministry has decided to suspend her sentence and extend her parole for another six months.
