Pakistan beat Bangladesh by 94 runs in World Cup clash

London, July 5: Bangladesh lost their final World Cup match against Pakistan by 94 runs as both the teams failed to qualify for the semi-finals of the tournament here on Friday.

Pakistan posted 315 runs for the loss of nine wickets and then bowled out Bangladesh for 221 runs.

 

Imam-ul-Haq (100) and Babar Azam (96) played handsomely as they helped their side post a mammoth total on the scorecard.

 

Imam hammered seven boundaries in his knock.

 

Mustafizur Rahman gave away 75 runs but picked up five wickets for Bangladesh.

 

Pakistani bowlers came out with a purpose and bowled out the Bangladeshi squad for 221 runs.

 

Shakib Al Hasan once again shined with the bat and contributed 64 runs.


Shaheen Shah Afridi remained the pick of the Pakistani bowlers and took six wickets in the innings.
