Own Representative, Dhaka, December 26, 2023: Awami League President and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina called on her party's election symbol 'Boat', saying that the boat will give the people a better and prosperous country.

"This boat has brought freedom, economic freedom, this boat will give us a developed and prosperous country," she said in the speech of the chief guest at a large election public meeting on the ground of Pirganj Government High School on Tuesday afternoon.

Sheikh Hasina said, "Vote the boat."

She also reminded that Noah's boat saved mankind from the Great Flood.

She said, "This boat has brought us freedom, given us economic freedom and this boat will give us a developed and prosperous country. So this is my request to you - I am the daughter-in-law of your area. Won't you vote for me, won't I get a single vote - the Prime Minister appealed for votes in the regional language of Rangpur.

The Prime Minister referred to Speaker of Jatiya Sangsad and candidate of Awami League in Pirganj parliamentary constituency Dr. Shirin Sharmin Chowdhury as her daughter. She said, "I have given my daughter to you, making her win by voting for boat brand means voting for me, voting for Joy. She is Joy's sister, Putul's sister."

At this time, when the Prime Minister asked for everyone's promise, the crowd raised their hands and expressed their promise to vote in unison. She thanked everyone and said that if she wins, she will come again, hold a public meeting here and the rest of the development works will also be completed.

Bangabandhu's younger daughter and Sheikh Hasina's younger sister Sheikh Rehana was present on the stage just like the official election campaign rally that started from Sylhet on December 20.
