Rafiqul Islam 'Shishu Bakta' Rafiqul remanded for two days
Dhaka, April 16: The court has granted a two-day remand to 'Shishu Bakta' Rafiqul Islam. An application was filed in the Gazipur court last Tuesday seeking his seven-day remand. Following a hearing on Thursday, the court granted him a two-day remand. Gazipur Metropolitan Gachha Police Station OC Md Ismail Hossain confirmed the matter.
The OC also said that forensic experts had found offensive adult content on Rafiqul Islam's mobile phone. His mobile phone was examined by forensic experts and found to be pornographic. A section of the Pornography Act has been added to the case filed against him earlier under the Digital Security Act.
After being arrested from his home in Netrokona on April 8, RAB filed a case against him under the Digital Security Act at Gachha police station. Four mobile phones were seized from him at that time. He has been lodged in Kashimpur Jail since then. Another case has been filed against him under the same law at Basan police station in Gazipur.
