Dhaka, April 19: People are returning home to celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr, the biggest religious festival of Muslims. They are going to celebrate Eid with their families from the capital Dhaka. At this time, it is not possible to know exactly how many people are leaving Dhaka every day. However, how many active mobile SIMs are leaving Dhaka daily, said Post and Telecommunication Minister Mustafa Jabbar.

According to the information provided by the minister, 12 lakh 28 thousand 278 SIMs left Dhaka on Tuesday (April 18). And six lakh 67 thousand 783 active SIMs have arrived in Dhaka. Among the SIMs except Dhaka, as mobile operators, Grameenphone SIMs are 3 lakh 34 thousand 295, Robi 3 lakh 2 thousand 284, Banglalink 5 lakh 73 thousand 509 and Teletalk 18 thousand 190.

On the other hand, in Dhaka Asad, Grameenphone SIMs are 1 lakh 28 thousand 970, Robi 1 lakh 6 thousand 863, Banglalink 4 lakh 22 thousand 600 and Teletalk 9 thousand 350.

Meanwhile, on the first day of the upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr holiday, the capital's main river port Sadarghat launch terminal saw a crowd of people facing their homes. Before dawn, the terminal is crowded with passengers. After the Padma Bridge was opened for traffic, there was a drop in passengers at Sadarghat. Due to passenger crisis, the number of launches also started to decrease. However, in view of the upcoming Eid, the launch terminal has returned to its old form due to increasing passenger pressure.

On Wednesday morning at the launch terminal, it can be seen that the launches that operate regularly on the first day of the Eid holiday are leaving their destinations with full passengers. The number of passengers at the terminal increased from early morning.

Especially the presence of passengers going to Chandpur was noticeable. A few days ago, where the launch did not leave at the specified time due to lack of passengers, now the launches are leaving the wharf with full passengers. The cabins of the launches are not empty, the deck is also seen crowded with passengers. Apart from this, even though there is no launch in the morning, many of the passengers going to Barisal, Bhola, Barguna, Hatia, Patuakhali have come to book the cabin and call in advance to get a seat. Shadhap 2. Ismail, a passenger going to Ladhamchandpur said, I got a day off from office on Tuesday on the occasion of Eid. I prepared everything and left today. I came to the terminal with my family right after eating Sehri so that I could reach home before the heat intensified.
