Women | Social Safety 21 lakh women in social safety net
Dhaka, October 19: Women are moving forward with the passage of time with their indomitable desire. They are making themselves self-sufficient by overcoming extreme adversity. The government is implementing four social security programs to help women with this indomitable mentality. More than 21 lakh women are the beneficiaries of these programs, according to relevant sources.
It is learned that the Ministry of Women and Children Affairs is implementing VGD activities, maternity allowance program, lactating mother assistance program, micro-credit activities for women's self-employment as part of the social safety net.
As a result of these activities, on the one hand, working women are becoming self-reliant, on the other hand, many are becoming entrepreneurs with training and micro-credit.
However, there are some complaints about these programs. Many complain that money is transacted in VGD activities, maternity allowance programs, lactating mother assistance programs, micro-credit activities for women's self-employment. These benefits are available only by paying money.
