Dhaka, March 12: Members of Myanmar's Border Guard Police (BGP) have entered Bangladesh again due to the clash between the army and the rebels inside Myanmar.

A total of 29 BGP members took refuge in Bangladesh on Monday (March 11) morning. Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) Public Relations Officer Md. Shariful Islam said this.

He said that 29 BGP members have taken refuge in Bangladesh from the Angthapaya camp of the Myanmar Border Guard Force through the responsible border area of Jamchari BOP under Naikshyongchari Battalion (11 BGB) of BGB.

Earlier, 330 people, including members of Myanmar's Border Guard Force (BGP), took refuge in Bangladesh in the face of insurgent attacks last February. Later on February 15, they were returned to Myanmar by ship from Ukhia Inani Navy jetty in Cox's Bazar.
