Chandpur Accident 3 killed in bus-CNG collision in Chandpur
Dhaka, February 22: Three passengers of a CNG-powered auto-rickshaw were killed and another person was injured when the auto-rickshaw was hit by a bus in Chandpur Sadar Upazila.
Confirming the accident, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Chandpur Sadar Model Police Station, Md. Abdur Rashid, told reporters that the accident took place at Ghosherhat area on the Chandpur-Comilla Regional Highway on Wednesday around 7 am.
The deceased are Neshar Ahmad Hawladar (25) of Wapda Gate area of Chandpur Sadar, Habibur Rahman (25) of Dhalaitli village of Upadi Dakshin Union of Matlab Dakshin Upazila of Chandpur and Mahabub Pradhaniya (50) of Bardia Arang area of Matlab Dakshin Upazila.
OC Abdur Rashid said the bodies have been sent to the morgue for post-mortem, and the injured person has been admitted to Chandpur Government General Hospital.
He said the bus has been impounded, though its driver and his assistant are absconding.
