Dhaka, February 15: Expatriates from different countries returned to the country during the Corona epidemic. This time, the Bangladesh embassy has given air tickets to 432 expatriates who have registered to return to the country voluntarily from Lebanon. They were given tickets at the Classico Stadium on Sunday (February 14) at noon local time. They will be sent home on a special flight of Biman Bangladesh Airlines on Monday (February 15).

Bangladesh Ambassador to Lebanon Maj. Gen. Md. Jahangir Al Mustahidur Rahman PSC, First Secretary (Labor) of the Embassy Abdullah Am Mamun, Third Secretary Abdullah Al Shafi and other senior officials of the embassy were present during the handing over of tickets.

The first secretary of the embassy, Abdullah Al Mamun, said, "We have issued a notification on behalf of the embassy to return to the country in the first batch with serial number." On 13 February, 432 people confirmed the flight by submitting the Corona Test. Only those whose coronavirus negative test was confirmed at the embassy on Sunday were given tickets. This is the first batch flight.

There is another flight on February 18. All those registered will be repatriated in a short period of time.

Expatriates say the dollar has been in crisis in Lebanon for a long year and a half. That's the problem. I have to return home with 400.

It may be mentioned that from December 25 to 28, more than three and a half thousand undocumented expatriates registered at the embassy by submitting air tickets only to return to the country voluntarily. A special flight of Biman Bangladesh Airlines was scheduled to start at the end of January, but was delayed due to a long lockdown in Lebanon.
