Dhaka, October 22: Ninety-six percent students of Dhaka University (DU) have been vaccinated against the coronavirus, according to Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Md. Akhtaruzzaman, who made the comment while talking to the journalists after visiting the examination center of the Faculty of Business Studies building on Friday (October 22).

The DU Vice-Chancellor said that as per the calculations made a week ago, 92 percent students of the Dhaka University had been vaccinated against the disease and he expects it to be at 95-96 percent currently.

Professor Dr. Akhtaruzzaman said, "Admission test is being conducted very smoothly and beautifully in the continuity of the past. I thank everyone concerned in this."

Calling on all to abide by the rules of health, he said, "It is very important for everyone to abide by the rules of health. There are allegations of hygiene violations in a few places. Everyone should be more alert and active in this regard."

Asked whether the Dhaka University Admission Test Center would be located in another divisional city in the years to come, the Vice-Chancellor said, "We have not only taken the exam outside Dhaka considering the pandemic, our main objective is to alleviate the suffering of the students."
