About a lakh teachers likely to be recruited, public notice likely this month

Dhaka, March 26: The Private Teachers Registration and Certification Authority (NTRCA) has completed all preparations to release the fifth public notice for the recruitment of teachers to the vacant posts in private schools, colleges and madrasas across the country.

If everything goes well, the fifth public notice may be published on March 31, the agency said.

However, NTRCA Secretary Md. Obaidur Rahman did not agree to tell the final date.

On Monday (March 25), he said, if everything goes well, the fifth public notice will be published in March itself. Nothing more can be said.

NTRCA chairman Saifullahil Azam said that they want to publish the fifth public notice this month. That's how the concerned are working. On February 29, data collection of teacher vacancies in private MPO-affiliated educational institutions began. Data collection ended on March 18. Later NTRCA fixed the time for correction of vacancy information. The deadline to correct that information ends today, Monday (March 25).

According to NTRCA sources, 96,806 vacancies have been found in schools, colleges, madrasas and technical institutes. Among them, 42,866 posts are vacant at the school level. Apart from this, there are 4,371 vacancies in college level, 1,957 in technical and 47,612 in madrasa. This number may increase.

On December 21, 2022, the fourth public notification was issued by NTRCA. There were 68,390 vacancies. These were under MPO. The result of the public notice was published on March 12 last year. 32,438 candidates were initially selected. Later, after police verification, age consideration and certificate verification, final recommendation for recruitment of 27,074 candidates was made on September 20. Among them, 13,705 in schools and colleges, 11,279 in madrasas, 516 in technical educational institutions, 1,583 in affiliated schools, 621 in affiliated madrasas got recommendations.
