Sheikh Hasina All should cooperate to bring situation under control: Sheikh Hasina
Dhaka, 21 August 2022 : President of Awami League and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said that the price of fuel and various products have increased due to the economic recession in the world after the Russia-Ukraine war after Corona.
"We are not beyond it. Still we are trying to bring the situation under control. Everyone's cooperation is needed for this," Hasina said.
He said these things after paying respects to the victims of August 21 at Bangabandhu Avenue in the capital on Sunday (August 21) at 10:30 am.
The Prime Minister said that on August 15, 1975, not only the President was killed, but his entire family was killed. He was working for the reconstruction of war-torn Bangladesh. Before the murder, various propaganda was carried out against him.
The head of government said, we were in power in 1996, we could not come to power in 2001, some of our people started plotting. I did not support American company's desire to take gas but Khaleda Zia came to power supporting it. We were lost by various conspiracies.
Awami League president said that Khaleda Zia's government started torturing activists across the country after coming to power. The torture and torture started on our leaders and activists just like the way the Pakistani army tortured them. A foreign ambassador was attacked in a train. How disgusting is this for a state. We rallied with them.
Sheikh Hasina said, "I talked about them in the national parliament. My mic is turned off. After the attack on the rally on August 21, the killers were deported that night. Attempts were made to destroy all evidence overnight. Such events cannot happen without government sponsorship. Today we talk about disappearances and murders, but Ziaur Rahman started these disappearances and murders."
The prime minister also said that during BNP's tenure, dragging dead bodies, getting injured in bombings - this was our daily work. Talking about questioning the election today, we have seen the 2001 election. I came to power in 96 because of which they planned to finish me in 2004. Major Dalim and Rashid were in Bangladesh at the time of the August 21 attack. When they saw that I was not dead, they left the country.
