Own Correspondent, Dhaka, 29 July 2023: BNP leader Amanullah Aman got into an argument with the police over the implementation of the sit-in program in Gabtali area of the capital. At one point, he fell to the ground in the scuffle. The police quickly rescued him and took him to Suhrawardy Hospital. On hearing the news, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina sent her representative to the hospital to inquire about Amanullah Aman's condition.

After this, a delegation headed by Prime Minister's Assistant Press Secretary-2 Gazi Hafizur Rahman Liku visited Aman Ullah Aman at the National Heart Institute on Saturday afternoon. Meanwhile, APS-2 handed over lunch, various types of seasonal fruits and juice packets sent by the Prime Minister to this leader of BNP.

Liku also said that if Amanullah Aman wants to go to any other hospital in the country for treatment, honorable Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will also make arrangements for that. Amanullah accepted all the gifts of the Prime Minister and thanked the Prime Minister for his humanity and political etiquette.

On Saturday morning, BNP leaders and activists gathered under the leadership of Aman Ullah Aman at Gabtali around 11 am to join the pre-announced sit-in program. Awami League had already taken a position there. Awami League workers then handed over several BNP leaders and activists to the police.

Aman Ullah Aman went to talk to the police about this. Then a police officer asked Aman to move away from there within five minutes with his leaders and activists. He was informed that the stay program was not allowed.

At one point, around 11:30 am, BNP leaders and activists started arguing with the police. Then the leaders and activists of Awami League and party organizations surrounded the BNP leaders and activists from all around. That's when a three-way clash started between the leaders and workers of the two parties and the police.
