Another 216 tonnes of liquid oxygen arrives from India

Dhaka, August 6: Another 216 tonnes of liquid medical oxygen arrived at Benapole land port on the Oxygen Express from India. Later the train left for the station on the west bank of Bangabandhu Bridge. On Thursday (August 5) at noon, a special train carrying oxygen arrived in Benapole.

Earlier, on July 24, 28, 30 and August 1, four special trains brought 200 tonnes of liquid oxygen each. With this one thousand 16 tonnes of liquid medical oxygen has reached the country.

Benapole Railway Stationmaster Saiduzzaman said, "A special 'Oxygen Express' of Indian Railways arrived at Benapole at noon with 216 tonnes of oxygen in the fifth shipment. It has left for Sirajganj on the west bank of Bangabandhu Bridge after completing the customs formalities."

Benapole Checkpost Cargo Branch Revenue Officer Swapan Kumar Das said, "As soon as the Indian train carrying oxygen entered the railway station at Benapole port, it was quickly released after completing the paperwork and formalities. It then left for its destination."
