Apollo Hospitals Group India signs agreement with Army Welfare Organization

Dhaka, June 24: A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed between the Army Welfare Organization and Apollo Hospitals Enterprises Limited on medical matters. The MoU was signed in a special ceremony at the head office of Army Welfare Organization in Mohakhali on Thursday.

Air Commodore and Director General of Welfare Department Md. Shahrul Huda and Apollo Hospitals Group President Dr. K Hariprasad signed the agreement on behalf of Army Welfare Organization. Major General Iftekhar Anis, chairman of the Army Welfare Organization, was present at the time. Dr. Hariprasad thanked the Army Welfare leadership at the MoU signing ceremony and pledged his full support for any medical cooperation agreement.

Major General Iftekhar Anis spoke on the occasion. He congratulated the Department of Army Welfare and Apollo Hospitals Group-India for their medical cooperation. The Apollo team was represented by Dr. Jithu Jose, Vice President, International Division.

On the occasion, Jeethu Jose detailed the medical assistance program with special concessions for all retired members of the armed forces and their dependents as well as active and retired army welfare members. Apollo's Consultant Joint Replacement Surgeon Dr. Kunal Patel presented a health awareness talk titled 'Healthy Joints' on the occasion.

Senior member of Army Welfare Shafiq Azam and Dr. Mokhtar Hossain from Apollo representative office in Dhaka were present.
