Dhaka, July 13: The High Commission of Australia in Dhaka has issued a warning for the citizens of their country staying in Bangladesh in view of the upcoming 12th National Parliament elections. This warning was given on the High Commission's Facebook page on Tuesday evening.

It has been stated that national elections can be held in Bangladesh by January 2024. Political activities will increase with this election ahead. There may be public gatherings and protest marches. Rallies and demonstrations can turn violent without warning. For this reason, Australian citizens have been advised to avoid gatherings and demonstrations and to keep an eye on their surroundings while traveling.

Earlier on Tuesday ahead of the national elections, the US Embassy in Dhaka has advised the citizens of their country to move with caution in the big cities of the country including Dhaka. This warning was issued from the website of the US Embassy.
